A playwright, a lover, a woman in drag, a mother…what did these characters have in common? As we live our lives, love - or lack thereof - is often the central theme. It drives us to act. And who best to explain action and love than Shakespeare himself, as he explores his own work in our modern times.
What did Shakespeare really know of love? The Bard has long since been given the credit for writing some of the most romantic sonnets and plays that ever existed. But what if we could bring him back and ask him what he thought of his own work and the way it has affected our present notion of love?
