WHAT IS PRO PRODUCTION?
David Danino created the Pro Production concept to give talented actors a chance to perform in great plays that they otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to do. Our hot Hollywood location has brought in some of Los Angeles’ most sought out industry giving our Pro Production actors a unique chance to showcase some great work in a professional setting. What makes HFCT special is that it is not a niche theater, which means there is always something new occurring. HFCT has produced everything from Christopher Durang, Woody Allen, David Mamet, Terrance McNally, Shakespeare, Neil Simon, etc… to original work. So there is a wide array of opportunities for the actor seeking to do it all.
For those new to the Pro Production theater, it is very understandable to feel hesitant or puzzled when first introduced to the Pro Production concept.
The most common reaction that HFC has experienced when actors first hear the word Pro Production, and become aware that they will be contributing money to a production is: “I have to pay to act?”. The whole myth regarding HFCT Pro Production theater will be explored in a separate section in which you, the aspiring HFCT actor or director, should read and understand. Since its' inception of March 2002, the Hollywood Fight Club has become a successful production company, producing films, commercials, and plays. The Hollywood Fight Club Theater has produced over 190 plays, many achieving both commercial and critical success. "The Sit Down", Danino’s latest film, went to Cannes Film Festival in 2008.
The Hollywood Fight Club’s most recent addition is Pinocchio’s Playhouse, a cooperative environment for younger artists to play and create. HFC has come a long way since 2002 and fought every step of the way. In December of 2008, David invested $50,000 into a renovation of the theater’s interior to get it ready for its' next powerful artistic punch.
