4. Since I am an associate producer I am entitled to make integral decisions and have a say in how the play should be directed? I have the right to question casting and choices the director makes. Absolutely not. By definition, an associate producer is an individual who performs a limited number of producing functions delegated to her/him by a producer, under the direct supervision and control of that producer. Therefore, the producer of the production delegates and makes all decisions. A director should be respected and is the one in charge during rehearsals. Once rehearsals begin, as a Pro Production actor your job is to act and work on the marketing of your show.
